Different treatments can be selected depending on the current state of the surface, and the repairs it needs.

CRYOGENIC CLEANING

Uses:

• Cryogenic cleaning involves blasting dry ice, in pellet form, over the surface.
• We use it to clean surfaces without introducing secondary residues to the process, and without wetting or dampening the surface.
• Examples include cleaning moulds, transformers and engines.
• Designed to achieve high performance at an affordable price.

PRESSURE WASHING

• Grease and oil removal from structures, containers and façades through manual or mechanical cleaning, using solvent- or water-based grease removers.
• Manual cleaning.
• Mechanical cleaning using high-pressure water spray.
• This can be performed using cold or hot water, up to 60° C.

MANUAL AND MECHANICAL CLEANING

• Surface preparation by brushing, scraping, sanding or chipping the material.
• The objective is to remove rust, poorly adhering mill scale and old paint.
• We use this method when the surface is difficult to access, and for specific pieces where it is not possible to use a more effective and less artisan method.
• Two finishing grades can be achieved:
  St2 – removal of mill scale, rust and poorly adhering paint.
  St3 – similar to St2, but the metallic sheen of the surface is brought out.

LASER CLEANING

• This is a less abrasive process and may be more appropriate, depending on the thickness of the metal surface. We use the laser to remove rust and paint, without having to use chemical products, water or secondary pollutants, through vaporisation.
• It can be applied to fine sheet metal without affecting its shape or integrity.

BLAST CLEANING

• We prepare the surface by blasting small particles at high speed using compressed air.
• This way, we can remove rust, mill scale, old welding and oil, and achieve a suitable level of roughness, to ensure paint adheres firmly to the surface.
• Grades of blast cleaning:
  Sa1. Brush-off blastcleaning: removes mill scale, rust and poorly adhering paint and foreign matter.
  Sa2. Thorough blastcleaning: as above, but we also leave the surface with a grey colour.
  Sa21/2. Very thorough blastcleaning: any existing contamination should be left only as stains in the form of spots or stripes. We leave the metal almost “white”.
  Sa3. “White metal” blastcleaning: the surface should be left with a uniform metallic colour.

BLASTCLEANING WITH ALUMINIUM SILICATE

For operations where blasting with sand or copper slag (both legally banned) would be the best option, aluminium silicate is the best substitute, since it has no health or safety contraindications.

Other uses:

• Blastcleaning to prepare metal, wood, cement and concrete surfaces.
• Cleaning and stripping the inside of tanks and containers.
• Cleaning building façades and similar.
• Dry and wet applications.

Ideal substitute for sandblasting in the naval industry.
